Huge fire breaks out at Singapore office building in Tampines

A large fire broke out at a building near the Tampines Industrial Park on the afternoon of Wednesday August 17th . The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the fire was at No 39, Tampines Street 92, which is the address of CK Building.

Dark smoke could be seen from as far as Changi International Airport. A spokesman for SCDF said there are no known casualties at the moment.

SCDF said that the fire was raging on the third and fourth floor of the building. Six water jets have been deployed on the exterior of the building to contain the fire.

A total of 20 fire appliances, & two ambulances were also deployed to the scene. Loud explosive sounds could be heard as firefighters battled the blaze.
