LPCB approval for Firetrace direct low pressure pre-engineered systems
Global fire suppression manufacturer Firetrace International has just been granted the prestigious LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) approval for both its 3MTM NovecTM 1230 and FM-200 direct low pressure (DLP) systems.
Firetrace is the only global manufacturer to have achieved this approval, which is the first of its type for a tubing system, and covers 1kg, 2kg and 5kg systems for electrical panels up to 2m3 in volume.
This latest listing for Firetrace comes within weeks of the Lloyds Register Marine Type Approval for its innovative E4 advanced engineered clean agent total flooding system, and both listings will be launched to the industry at Intersec 2017 in Dubai next week.
The LPCB is the leading international certification body in the fields of security and fire protection and its approval is recognized by governments and regulatory authorities across the world.
Firetrace’s 3MTM NovecTM 1230 and FM-200 DLP systems will now go live in the LPCB ‘Red Book’, a list of all its approved fire and security products and services. The Red Book is a key reference for specifiers, regulators, designers and end users, with every product and service listed having been robustly checked by independent experts to ensure that it delivers and will continue to deliver the performance expected.
Mark Cavanaugh, CEO of Firetrace International, commented: “We pride ourselves on leading the way in the fire suppression industry. Being the sole manufacturer with global distribution to be awarded this first-of-its-type approval for a tubing system is a further demonstration of our innovation and determination to provide the best and safest systems. The timing is fantastic as it’s great to be able to come to Intersec, the world’s leading trade fair for security, safety and fire protection, and share this achievement with the best of our industry.”
