Mystery Ranch builds the best load-bearing equipment in the world. Our mission is to support your mission – whatever that may be. Our customers are the rough and rugged ones of this Earth, those ambitious men and women with a lust for adventure and an affinity for struggle – be it occupation or recreation, perilous profession or ardent pastime, daily duty or weekend escape. They’re discriminating people in demanding conditions; they must haul more and hurt less; they cannot – and will not – fail. And, if we have anything to say about it, neither will their gear.

Built for the mission
When working in insanely difficult conditions, you need insanely well-built gear – and that’s exactly what a Mystery Ranch pack brings to the fire line. The strongest materials, the best craftsmanship, the most comfortable carry: our fire packs and accessories help you get the job done, from quick engine assignments to never-ending handcrew shifts that roll right into the next burning period, Mystery Ranch has your back.
Introducing the SHIFT SC for Spring 2022
Built with input from the B.C. Wildfire Service and our friends in the Squirrel Cage in downtown L.A., the SHIFT SC was developed for International Fire, SAR (Search and Rescue), and USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) markets that need a 72-hour solution and where a fire shelter is not required. This pack includes a modified Shift Frame base system, an overload storage and pocket doubles as a load shelf and the stick-it holds overload goods on when the pack is removed. The removable Stick-it can carry a chainsaw and other awkward items. The 270° zipper design allows for easy, full access to the main compartment, and the zippered lid pocket gives easy access to small items and personal gear. The zippered outer pocket features internal detail pockets for additional organization, and the back/side zip allows access to the floating, padded sleeve that fits laptops up to 15in and the document/tablet sleeve pocket.
