The call for abstracts deadline for Australasia’s largest emergency management conference and exhibition, AFAC18 powered by INTERSCHUTZ, has been extended to the 19th February. AFAC18 will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, from the 5th to 8th September. In Western Australia for the first time in six years, the theme for AFAC18 is “changing lives in a changing world”.
The AFAC18 host agencies are the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, WA and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
A new stream aligned with AFAC18 will be the Australian Disaster Resilience Conference (AIDR). This will attract an additional audience of local government and community organisations to the conference.
The exhibition is continuing to evolve and encompasses solutions for fire, emergency & rescue, first responders, public safety, defence and industrial safety. This is reflected in Yamaha Motor Australia’s decision to increase their stand size to 90sqm and showcase their full product range, including police motorbikes, all-terrain vehicles, side-by-sides, jet skis and the RMAX drones.
Another sign of the diversity of the exhibition can be seen with a new exhibitor, Autosafe Industries, who will be demonstrating their police response vehicle at AFAC18. For more information on exhibiting at AFAC18 powered by INTERSCHUTZ contact Rob Keen.
Conference and exhibition pass registrations will open on the 19th March 2018. Further information at afacconference.com.au
