Keynote Speakers Announced for AFAC16 powered by INTERSCHUTZ

AFAC16 powered by INTERSCHUTZ is excited to announce a high-profile line-up of keynote speakers that will address the conference, running from the 30 August – 1 September 2016 in Brisbane.

Under the theme Mitigation – Response – Recovery: Getting the Balance Right, the keynotes have been chosen to help delegates explore new ways of getting the balance

Confirmed keynote and invited speakers include:

 Professor Gavin Smith, Department of Homeland Security Coastal Resilience Centre of Excellence, University of North Carolina

 Katarina Carroll, Commissioner Queensland Fire and Emergency Services

 Chief Rhoda Mae Kerr, International Association of Fire Chiefs Board of Directors, President and Chair of the Board, Austin Fire Department

 Dr Jeff Kepert of the Centre for Australian Weather and Climate Research and Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC

 Jona Olsson, Latir Volunteer, Fire Department US and Cultural Bridges to Justice

 Frankie Carroll, Director-General of Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, Queensland

 Iain Mackenzie, Queensland’s inaugural Inspector-General Emergency Management

 Dr David Henderson, Director of the Cyclone Testing Station at James Cook University and Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC project leader.
