ZIEGLER delivered an HLF 20 to the Volunteer Fire Department of Königsbronn in November 2021. This vehicle replaced the firefighting vehicle LF 16 TS, which was put into service in 1989 and also delivered by ZIEGLER at that time. The volunteer fire department of Königsbronn has been a customer of Albert Ziegler GmbH – whose headquarters is located in the neighbouring town of Giengen/Brenz – for many years and is pleased that the new vehicle is also produced by ZIEGLER.
The new HLF 20 is built on an MB Atego 1730 AF / Euro 6 chassis with a wheelbase of 4,160mm. The power is transmitted by an Allison P3000 automatic transmission. The 299hp vehicle is also equipped with a 2,200-litre water tank, a 120-litre foam tank and, of course, the new ZIEGLER ALPAS superstructure as well as the intuitive Z-Control operating system of the latest generation.
In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a winch by Rotzler and a rope length of 90 metres. The lighting concept is implemented by the proven Z-Vision including the associated rotating beacons in the ZIEGLER Top Integro Design. The design foliation of the vehicle shows the emblem of the municipality and has been created in cooperation with the customer. Furthermore, the vehicle has an extensive loading for technical assistance, firefighting and medical equipment.
