Hatz Diesel is celebrating 35 years in the Australian market with a series of events and a visit from the company’s Chairman and owner, Mr Wolfram Hatz and its newly appointed global CEO, Mr Bernd Kruper.
Hatz Australia is a subsidiary of the German family-run business Motorenfabrik Hatz GmbH & Co. KG which was founded in 1880. The company is one of the biggest manufacturers of air-cooled diesel engines in the world and is also leading the way with water-cooled engine technology. It employs more than 1000 people worldwide, five per cent of them in research and development.
Head of the local operation, Managing Director Sami Almogawish, says the brand has plenty to celebrate. “It’s been an incredible 35 years,” he says. “We’ve always worked very hard not just to bring the best products to market but to support our customers with in-house customisation and the best possible service and support. I am proud to say that our brand has had enormous support and we’ve built strong relationships with customers and suppliers across the fire, construction, agriculture and mining sectors and a lot of them have become real business partners. A great deal of our success comes down to our people, and I want to acknowledge the excellent work of the entire Hatz Australia team.”
The Australian operation manages distribution throughout Oceania, including New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and New Caledonia. The branch also specialises in the production, distribution and maintenance of Hatz powered generating sets up to 40 kVA in the region.
To coincide with its 35th anniversary, Hatz Australia is launching the 3H50 water cooled engine, the newest addition to its H50 series. The new engine will be on display during an open day at the local Smithfield, NSW facility on Wednesday 14 November.
Celebrations will continue the next day with a cruise on Sydney Harbour where guests will have the opportunity to meet Hatz’s new global CEO Bernd Kruper on his first Australian visit for Hatz, as well as Mr Bernhard Schutzeneder – Director of Sales and Marketing and Mr Rainer Spitzer – Global Subsidiary Manager for Hatz.
Almost 100 customers, including some who have been with Hatz Australia from day one, have been invited to join the celebration.
“Hatz Australia is honoured to be associated with some of Australia’s leading companies and organisations, from fire services that do an amazing job of keeping our communities safe through to high tech innovators that are changing the face of agriculture. It’s been a rewarding 35 years,
and we look forward to many more to come.”
