With the ever increasing need for Search and Rescue teams, organisations and programs, the Australian & New Zealand Search and Rescue Conference provides a significant opportunity for leading search and rescue practitioners in Australia.
On 6 May 2015, the Gold Coast will host the newly established conference to open discussion of challenges of preparing, deploying and operating search and rescue.
“We are looking forward to working together with the search and rescue industry to help address their challenges and assist with sharing of experiences within different agencies and professionals” says Mr Peter Sugg, Conference Chair.
The conference program will cover the topics of air, sea, land-based, urban, wilderness, domestic and overseas search and rescue.
“We are expecting a vast range of Search and Rescue professionals to present at the conference along with the outstanding keynote line-up. It will sure be a very interesting and informative day” continues Mr Sugg.
The Search and Rescue Conference will begin with three outstanding keynote speakers including:
- John Young, General Manager, Emergency Response Division, Australian Maritime Safety Authority
- Martin Boyle, SAR/EM Manager, Australian Government Antarctica Programme
- Brian Guthrie, C3 Operations Manager, CareFlight
The day will continue with concurrent sessions and conclude with a panel discussion to discuss the future trends in the search and rescue industry.
