The latest innovation in fire suppression technology, the Kidde Natura Inert Gas System (Natura IGS) revolutionizes the way gaseous fire suppression systems are deployed, making installation easier, faster, and safer than ever before.
Much of this innovation comes from the Kidde Natura IGS pressure regulated valve which offers two distinct advantages. Firstly the ability to use 90-degree hoses off the top exit port making access around the cylinder easier and lowering the overall manifold height and secondly, eliminating the requirement for complex hardware to conduct pilot line testing. The introduction of an exclusive valve cap that actuates under pressure provides an instant visual representation to operators that the pilot line is functioning and can be reset with a simple finger press without the need for tools. The key benefit of this function in comparison to other high-pressure inert gas systems is that it gives building owners, engineers and installers peace of mind that the system is fully functional and can be replicated on demand as part of annual testing or commissioning schedules alike.
The Natura IGS offers nozzles with 360° and 180° discharge patterns which can be oriented in either upright or pendant style. These nozzles can be used in conjunction with our Acoustic Nozzle technology which reduces the sound power level significantly upon discharge in comparison to standard nozzles (below 100db dependent on flow rate) and is particularly useful in areas where sensitive electronic equipment is used such as Data Center or Server Room. Kidde’s Acoustic Nozzle can also be retrofitted to existing Kidde 469 300bar and C60 systems without the requirement for any pipework modification. The number and size of the orifice on each nozzle is custom calculated using the Flow Calculation Software Suite.
Installation time and labour costs are further reduced with the use of pre-fabricated manifolds, quick-connect actuation hoses and electrical connectors. The unique ‘Quick Connect’ cables provide an expedient method of wiring the pressure gauges of the Release Unit and Slave Cylinder Gauge Assemblies. The open contacts of the supervisory pressure switch are connected in parallel using the same ‘Quick Connect’ cables in a daisy chain form.
Kidde Natura IGS provides high degrees of flexibility with a choice of multiple agents (IG55, IG541 and IG100), efficient installation and overall lower total cost of ownership driven by reduced material, installation and labour costs, as well as a more economical refill cost after a discharge. With global approvals and a selection of agents and hardware profiles, Natura IGS is the natural choice for your inert gas fire suppression system.
