Lucky passengers in train crash near Colac in South Eastern Australia

A Victorian passenger train carrying about 100 people has derailed in a collision with a truck.
The truck driver and 18 passengers were taken to regional hospitals, however non have life threatening injuries. The crash occurred at 1545hrs on Wednesday at an uncontrolled crossing.

Passengers said “It felt like an earthquake. Everything was shaking and rocking, then there was silence. Everyone was stunned.”
Fire services assisted with rescue and police are investigating the circumstances behind the accident.
