GESA to write a recurring column on the challenges and opportunities faced by Emergency Services practitioners in emerging markets for the MDM community.
GESA is pleased to announce a new partnership with a leading publisher in the fire and safety industry, MDM Publishing Ltd – creator of the International Fire Fighter, International Fire Protection, and Asia Pacific Fire magazines. GESA will work closely with MDM to distribute insightful articles about the Emergency Services (ES) needs of the Global South – helping manufacturers find new global business opportunities and promoting the growth of quality Emergency Services for everyone.
After 2½ years of work done with the World Bank, studying systems around the world, GESA was founded in 2020 by a group of leader companies, trainers and consultants in the Emergency Services sector – including LION, Rosenbauer, Dupont and Holmatro. As a focal point for experts and expertise, GESA is a membership organization that brings together industry-leading equipment and consulting with country and donor demand to promote progress across the Emergency Services sector.
Steve Schwartz, GESA’s Chairman and CEO of LION, said: ‘We created GESA to save lives by building sustainable Emergency Services capability throughout the world. We are excited to team up with a trusted publisher within the industry to help us reach our goals. With this media partnership, we are now able to share our message and findings with MDM’s 33,000+ readers. Creating this dynamic flow of information is crucial to Emergency Services development globally.’
Together, GESA and MDM are working to reach the practitioner community. GESA will write articles for MDM over the coming months, in both MDM’s e-newsletter and magazines, covering a variety of topics with a focus on emerging markets. With the help of MDM, GESA has also created GESAction Forum, a Linkedin Group where MDM readers, GESA members and other interested individuals (particularly those from the Global South) can get information and share their experiences to help better inform the sector and build bridges.
David Staddon, Director and co-founder of MDM Publishing, said: ‘When I was approached by Steve (Schwartz) and introduced to the GESA initiative I knew it was right for MDM to be working with them. It is a real honour for MDM to be collaborating with such a fantastic team, and we are delighted that we can provide them with opportunities to spread their message through our print titles and on our websites.’
GESA looks forward to working with MDM to bring more practitioners and consultants to the table – ultimately making the world safer for everyone to grow and develop.
