The North American Vehicle Rescue Association (NAVRA) in partnership with the City of Miami Fire-Rescue Department are staging the NAVRA Rescue Challenge & Expo – Miami.
With over a year of the Emergency Services, hospitals and First Responders dealing with the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and the recent Surfside Structural collapse, plus all the craziness that we are encountering, we thought it would be refreshing to put on an event to celebrate the work being done and the people doing the work.
To that end we are planning a Rescue Challenge and Expo in the City of Miami in November.
This will be a three-day event involving Vehicle Extrication, ALS-Medical and Rapid Intervention crew challenges.
We will also be having educational seminars, hands-on-training events, vendor displays, food trucks, community safety programs and even Covid testing and vaccinations on site.
This event is supported by the Local and Southeastern Regional Fire Unions as well as the Fire Chief Associations and will be advertised and promoted throughout the said Region.
We are also going to open the invitation to all the USAR Teams who came down to help with the Surfside Collapse. A little way of saying ‘Thank you’ for their support and brotherhood.
We will also be hosting a couple of keynote speakers and a whole host of activities.
So we would like to invite you and your organization to be a part of this event.
For the Extrication Challenge, we are planning to host the following events:
- The Standard Limited Scenario (no hydraulic tools) – 20 minute duration
- The Complex Scenario – 30 minute duration
