Neil Bibby visits Hong Kong Fire Service Department (HKFSD) Directors past and present

On a recent visit to Hong Kong, APF editor Neil Bibby met up with two former Directors and the current Director of the HKFSD to talk about issues confronting the region. Current Director David Lai showed videos of the opening of the HKFSD’s new training facility. This state of the art training facility will be the subject of a number of articles in APF magazine over the coming year. An article on the HKFSD marine section will be in our next edition.

While in the region Neil also took the opportunity to visit the Macau Fire Service’s Acting Commissioner Leong Iok Sam, Acting Deputy Commissioner Chao Ka Cheong and Deputy Wong Kin. Macau is a sophisticated fire service with considerable challenges, in particular the Casino district and the unique building designs. We will also be reporting on this in upcoming article.
