The next generation CAFS solution
The use of Compressed Air Foam (CAFS) is a great way for the modern firefighter to extend the effectiveness of water to better fight many types of fire. Quik Corp has taken the CAFS concept to the next level, with their Quik CAFS Multi Pump system. Quik CAFS can run air, water and foam ALL simultaneously from one pump. Quik Corp engineers, led by Andrew Geue, developed this system to allow for a greater versatility to the firefighter, along with staggering deliveries from a single pump.
“We have always been strong advocates for creating new products that serve the firefighting industry and with the latest CAFS module, we feel this will certainly add to the community’s ability to fight fires in urban and rural environments.”- Andrew Geue
Using Quik Corp’s patented Multi-Pump technology, matched with the Quik CAFS system and the Quik Foam injection system, you can select individual foam concentrations on each CAFS line. Utilising the Wet / Dry water adjustment, you can have multiple lines operating simultaneously with different foam injection rates and CAFS wet or dry rates, which are all individually adjustable. Easily integrated into your fire-fighting vehicle, the compressor platform can be custom configured for trailer and OEM appliances.
The most impressive part is the output. The Quik CAFS capabilities range from 15 CFM up to 150 CFM at 10 BAR with water capacities from 50 to 3000 LPM at 10 BAR. The HATZ Turbo Charged 4-cylinder diesel engine has a clutch driven air compressor with a Waterous CLV Pump set which produces 2000L p/minute @1000KPA. The Quik CAFS system is designed to run in CAFS mode with simultaneous water delivery at the same time, with 38mm outlet with 100-300L p minute with 60CFM for CAFS.

The advantages of the Quik CAFS system:
- More effective than water at knocking the fire down.
- Will use less water. Makes your water more efficiently and can be used vertically.
- The foam will cling, smother and form a protective film to stop the fire spreading.
- Can be projected further than water.
- Excellent throw range and height thanks to the pressure and energy created from the HATZ engine.
- Adjustable pump pressure so you can maximise the output and throw range.
- Switch easily between wet and dry CAFS, depending on your requirements.
- Ability to use air only from the compressor for airbags or inflation or water only.
