Messe Essen will become the meeting place of the international security industry: From September 25 to 28, Security Essen will be the showcase for innovations and new solutions in civil security. The leading event will take place on Messe Essen’s modernised site for the first time, will once more occupy all the halls and will be organised in a way appropriate for the market in six subject areas: With the hall allocation in Fire / Intrusion / Systems, Cyber Security / Economic Security, Services, Access / Mechatronics / Mechanics / Systems, Video as well as Perimeter Protection, exhibitors and visitors will profit from optimum orientation and even better visibility. In this respect, Security Essen will once more provide highlights with regard to the contents: In 2018, attention will focus on digital security.
“Ever more fields of classic security are growing together. IoT, Industry 4.0 as well as the networking of traditional systems are offering new possibilities but are also confronting the sector with challenges at the same time. Our exhibitors will show their newest products and services here. With a comprehensive supporting programme consisting of conferences, workshops and special shows, we will offer valuable knowledge and a look outside the box,” according to Julia Jacob, Head of Project for Security Essen.
Exhibitors present networked fire prevention solutions
In this respect, it will be possible to find the fire prevention section again, above all, in Fair Halls 6 and 7. The ever stronger focus on networked products and solutions will be shown here too. Thus, the fire detection technology specialist NSC Sicherheitstechnik will combine fields of expertise and will offer, for example, fire detection technology and speech alarming in one system. Ei Electronics will also be in situ. The manufacturer of smoke, heat and carbon monoxide detectors for private living spaces has developed a direct interface to the classic electrical installation for the first time: A new relay model ensures that an alarm is sounded in the event of a fire and triggers actions such as switching the light on, switching the cooker off or controlling the telephone dialler. The Wagner Group will introduce, amongst other items, a hazard management system which unites and controls the most diverse systems relevant to security. In a hazardous situation such as a fire, it helps those responsible to keep an overview and to be able to react in a reasonable way as quickly as possible. UTC Fire & Security will be in situ with its wide product portfolio for fire detection technology.
Conferences and workshops for an informative visit to the fair
With an informative supporting programme, Security Essen will offer multifaceted information possibilities to those people who are interested in fire prevention. The new Cyber Security Conference will also be dedicated to subjects relating to all aspects of the prevention of fires and the protection of escape routes: Smart metering, Internet of Things, the safeguarding of interfaces, dynamic escape route control as well as biometrics will be the main focal points of the series of lectures entitled “Connected Building – Security in the Building of the Future”. A Fire Prevention Forum, the Joint Fire Service Booth in Hall 6 and the Fire Prevention Day on September 27 are planned too. There, exhibitors will be able to demonstrate their products for everything to do with fire prevention to the interested trade public live. Moreover, firefighters will show their ability in deployment simulations.
