In a period that is usually devoid of large fires, homes in Queensland, Australia are at risk from a bushfire with a 50km forefront.
A number of homes in affected areas have been evacuated displacing residents who have been moved to a place of safety.
At the time of reporting, over 40 bushfires are currently burning according to Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.
One of the most significant fires has seen at least two homes have been destroyed and four others damaged in a fire, 280 miles north of Brisbane.
The current fire conditions seen in Queensland are unusual as November is generally the wet season. This year has seen high winds after a prolonged heatwave.
